Western Sydney Wanderers head coach Gary van Egmond has named his extended squad for Saturday afternoon’s clash against Wellington Phoenix in Christchurch.
The Western Sydney Wanderers travel across the Tasman this Saturday afternoon for their final away match of the season, taking on Wellington Phoenix at Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch.
The Wanderers will be looking to bounce back after last weekend’s Sydney Derby defeat, where goals to Al Hassan Touré and Apostolos Stamatelopoulos handed Sydney FC a 2-0 win at CommBank Stadium.
Wellington Phoenix also enter the clash off the back of defeat, having fallen 2-0 to Melbourne City at AAMI Park to end their four-match unbeaten run.
With both sides eager to respond and finish the season strongly, Saturday’s clash shapes as an important contest in Christchurch.
