Western Sydney Wanderers head coach Ufuk Talay has named his extended squad for Saturday night’s Local Rivalry clash against Macarthur FC at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
The Red & Black head into Matchweek 3 looking to continue their positive start to the 2026/27 A-League Men campaign following an impressive 5-2 victory over Auckland FC at CommBank Stadium last weekend.
Five different goalscorers contributed to the emphatic result, with Brandon Borrello, Liam Gillion, Nicolas Milanović, Miguel Di Pizio and Atiya Waraga all finding the back of the net as the Wanderers claimed their first three points of the season.
Talay has named a strong extended squad for the trip to Campbelltown, with forward Awan Lual remaining sidelined as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained in the opening Sydney Derby.
Saturday’s opponents Macarthur FC arrive off the back of a 1-1 draw against Newcastle Jets, having battled from behind through second-half substitute Musa TourĂ© to secure a point on the road.
With both sides eager to build early-season momentum, the stage is set for another competitive chapter in the Local Rivalry.
Talay’s side will be determined to take their attacking confidence into enemy territory and deliver another strong performance as Western Sydney bragging rights go on the line.
