Western Sydney Wanderers’ new home opened its doors for the first time on Sunday.
Sports fans were invited to soak in the surroundings of Bankwest Stadium in a community open day after the 30,000-seat arena was officially opened by the Premier of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian.
For passionate supporters of the Red and Black, it was an opportunity to not only find the best vantage point and explore the 360 degree concourse, but to breathe in the air and absorb the reality of their new home for the Hyundai A-League Season 2019/20 and beyond.
The state-of-the-art stadium proudly claims ‘it will bring fans closer to the action than ever before in Australia’ and features the steepest grandstands in the country, ensuring there is not a bad seat in the house.
Western Sydney fans who have dreamed about the possibilities that may lie ahead in their new stadium are now able to visualise exactly where those moments will unfold.
