Western Sydney Wanderers FC are pleased to confirm that exciting attacking talent Aydan Hammond has re-signed with the club, continuing his journey in the Red & Black.
A proud Western Sydney product, Hammond’s commitment to the Wanderers reflects his deep connection to the region and his ambition to continue developing at A-League level in front of the community that shaped him.
After returning to Australia following eight years in Portugal, Hammond signed with the Wanderers ahead of the 2023/24 season and integrated into both the Club’s Academy and First Team programs.
His dedication and performances earned him his A-Leagues debut in 2024, where he went on to make three appearances in his first season, marking the occasion with his first senior goal in the club’s final match of the season.

Since that breakthrough season, Hammond has established himself further at A-League level, going on to feature in 47 matches in the A-Leagues and scored 6 goals.
A dynamic attacking presence with strong one-on-one ability and a fearless approach in the final third, Hammond remains one of the club’s most promising local talents.
Western Sydney Wanderers Football Director Mal Impiombato said he was delighted to see Hammond commit his future to the club.
“Aydan is exactly the type of player we want representing this club. He’s a Western Sydney local who understands what this badge means, and he brings a real hunger every time he steps on the pitch,” said Impiombato.
“We’ve seen his growth firsthand since arriving back from overseas, from integrating into the Academy and first team environment, to being a consistent A-League contributor.
“We’re proud to have him continue his journey here and we believe his best football is still ahead of him.”

Aydan Hammond said he was excited to continue his journey with the Red & Black.
“I’m really proud to be extending my time with the Wanderers. Coming back to Western Sydney and being part of this club has meant a lot to me and my family,” said Hammond.
“I’ve grown a lot here over the past couple of seasons, from my first minutes in the A-Leagues to now having a chance to contribute more regularly and push my game forward.
“I know there’s still a lot more in me and I want to keep improving, keep helping the team, and keep making this community proud.”
